Why Teens Should Start a Small Business
As previously stated, starting a small business allows your kid to make money while also learning essential things that they would not acquire at a job. It also has a number of other significant advantages.
Minimum Wage Isn’t the Only Option. The minimum salary, at which most teenagers begin their careers, is depressingly low. A tiny business does not set such a cap on its earnings.
On college applications, it looks fantastic. When students include entrepreneurship in their college applications or write entry essays about it, things will go more smoothly.
It is more adaptable. Your teen won’t have to worry about losing their job if they want to go to a summer camp, volunteer with friends, or go on a trip.
It promotes self-sufficiency. With each passing year, your kid will need to be able to fend for himself or herself more and more.
It instills the mindset of a startup. Young adults can prepare for success as an entrepreneur or employees by thinking like business owners.

Business Ideas For Young Entrepreneurs
It doesn’t matter what you think. The importance of execution cannot be overstated. It doesn’t matter what you do with your time; what counts is what you do with it. It doesn’t matter if you have the best idea in the world if you can’t put it into action.
Agency for Social Media Marketing. Teach local companies how to use social media platforms such as Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and other apps. You can be compensated as a percentage of sales or other metrics. You may then utilize their endorsement to attract paying clients.
A business that specializes in software. Learn the ins and outs of a challenging software application. It may be something like Infusion Soft, iMovie, Garageband, QuickBooks, Salesforce, or something else entirely. Then offer to take over a company’s entire workflow if they employ that software. This is why there are “Shopify experts” and “WordPress experts.” There are also experts who specialize in duties such as podcast editing.
Arbitration in the workplace. This is a sophisticated way of saying “find workers willing to work for $10 an hour and clients willing to pay $20 an hour.” The transcribing industry is an example of this. You hire others to transcribe a podcast for you, and you profit from their efforts.
Buying and selling assets on the internet. Building up an internet asset, such as a blog, that receives relevant or significant traffic is one approach to make quick money. You can then find someone in the same field who owns a larger company and would be interested in purchasing your asset. After that, simply sell the asset! You could sell that asset for $6,000 if it brings in $500 per month in revenue.
A service-oriented company. This is by far the most common concept I encounter on college campuses. It could be a cleaning service, a laundry service, or another type of service company. You’re exchanging time for money in this type of business. You’re completing a task that no one else wants to complete.
Dropshipping is a term used to describe the process of Dropshipping is a type of ecommerce business that requires little to no capital. You don’t need to have significant quantities of merchandise on hand. When someone buys your goods, you simply have it transported from the producer to them. You might be able to sell anything on campus or online.
Representative on campus. Have you ever seen those job postings for “campus representatives?” Instead of taking that position, why do you start a local marketing firm that focuses on helping brands reach out to your college’s students?
Gift baskets. If you’re a student on a college campus, you have a wealth of resources at your disposal. The PARENTS of the pupils are one of those resources. Why not make it simple for parents to express their affection by purchasing a gift package for their children around major holidays or events?
Filming and media production are two of my favorite things to do. If you can scrape together the funds to purchase a high-quality camera, you can use it to a variety of uses. You can use the equipment to film marketing videos for local businesses, rent it out, or even assist with student projects. All you have to know is how to operate the machinery!
